This past month has be a bit sad, with the loss of McKenzie and hurting my back pretty badly, it has not been the best start to the new year. I received two very nice surprises in the mail recently, one was a beautiful set of rosary beads from my sister for my birthday and the other was this pretty white cup from my friend Carolyn.
Carolyn and I decided we would write a joint blog featuring this cup in our photographs, to view Carolyns photo click here. We have done this a few times in the past, but never with the same item. With that said, there really isn’t much to say about the cup except that I have a small obsession with cups and cake plates. I don’t really know why, but whenever I am out I look for these two items. My color of choice is always white, again, I’m not really sure why, but it just is. Maybe they just photograph really well and I can incorporate them into photos with great diversity.
I am always intrigued by photos on Instagram with the word “cuppa” in them. It’s such a neat sounding word and it always peaks my interest. It is British slang for A-CUP-OF tea. What else can I say about this cute white cup, except that it came from a very good friend at a very difficult time and it brightened my day. I hope you enjoy my images featuring that lovely white cup courtesy of Carolyn from Sixteen Miles Out.
I hope you all enjoy the remainder of your week and have a very Happy Valentine’s Day. I guess the pop of red was intentional with Valentine’s Day around the corner.
Thank you for following along . . . see you next time

A visual storyteller. I use flowers, tea cups, cake plates and various props to tell still life stories. I grew up in the city, but I have lived in the suburbs for over 30 years. Living close to the beach and a local small village has given me the opportunity to tell my story through photographs.
