“A photograph is the pause button of LIFE.”
On April 29th my first grandchild was born, a baby boy. He is without a doubt, the most beautiful baby. He has kept us busy with visits, snuggles and just loving him to pieces.
I took a few weeks away from photography, just to spend time with him, my daughter and son-in-law. Now that they are getting acclimated to their new life as parents and a family of three, it was time to resume my photography.
I hope you are all doing well, I’m glad to be back. This week I visited my friend Cheryl, Cheryl has a love for decorating and especially for growing flowers. Her peonies finally bloomed this week, so I went for a visit this cloudy and rainy Memorial Day.
I photographed her yard in August 2016, the year my daughter was married. That day the sun was shining and the temperature was in the 90’s, humid and extremely hot, quite a difference from the weather today. I must say, it was much easier to photograph today vs. the 90 degree day of two years ago. Of course, August is typically much hotter than May in NJ.
No words are needed . . .
Nature gives us such beauty to behold. The softness of each petal, with the hint of red poking though is breathtaking. It was nice to get outside and photograph flowers instead of taking photographs inside. Welcome Spring!
Until next time, stay well . . .

A visual storyteller. I use flowers, tea cups, cake plates and various props to tell still life stories. I grew up in the city, but I have lived in the suburbs for over 30 years. Living close to the beach and a local small village has given me the opportunity to tell my story through photographs.
Beautiful, thank you “grandma”!!!
Thank you Cecelia!!

I thought I’d commented on this … These photos are so gorgeous! Especially the ones in the vase. Great post! Grandbabies are the best!
No worried! Thank you Carolyn, I love peonies sadly they are only around for a short while. 🙂 Yes, being a Grammie is just amazing!!
Yep! I’m enjoying three whole days with two of my older granddaughters and it’s been amazing so far!
I saw your posts this morning. It sure looks like you are having a wonderful time. Love your photos especially the silhouettes!
Thanks Debra! The silhouettes are fun to get and where we live is the perfect spot to do them.
Possibly another framed image maybe for your daughter.
That’s a good idea.
You’ re a wonderful photographer, dear. Thank you for sharing your artwork.
